01

Who is responsible

Disconnetic is responsible for deciding how personal information is used on this website and acts as the data controller. Visitant is a branch of Disconnetic, not a separate controller. Privacy questions, rights requests and complaints can be sent to hello@disconnetic.com.

02

What we collect

If you contact us, we collect the email address, message and submission time you provide, together with the status needed to manage the enquiry. To operate and secure the site, technical information may also be processed, including IP address, browser or device information, request details, a Turnstile verification result and short-lived anti-abuse identifiers. Contact details come directly from you; technical data comes from your browser, device and our security systems. Please do not include sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.

03

What stays on your device

The Disconnetic homepage stores your personal orbit count and a random pending claim ID in local storage. It uses session storage to avoid repeating the joke assistant’s lines during one visit. The words typed into that assistant are handled in your browser and are not sent to us. You can clear these settings using your browser controls.

04

Why we use it

We use contact information to read, manage and reply to enquiries. We use technical information to deliver the website, maintain the shared orbit, prevent duplicate submissions, protect the contact form and diagnose faults. The contact form is optional, but without a valid email address and message we cannot receive or answer an enquiry.

05

Our lawful bases

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure website, responding to people who contact us, preventing abuse and maintaining business correspondence. Where an enquiry is about working with us or buying services, we may also process it to take steps at your request before entering a contract. We may retain or disclose information where necessary to meet a legal obligation.

06

Who processes it

Cloudflare provides hosting, database, network security and Turnstile bot protection. Turnstile evaluates signals including IP address, user-agent, TLS fingerprint, sitekey and site origin. Cloudflare acts on our instructions when securing this site and explains that it separately acts as controller when using Turnstile signals to improve bot detection. Our email provider processes messages when we reply. We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising. We may disclose information to professional advisers or authorities when legally necessary.

07

International transfers

Cloudflare operates a global network, so information may be processed outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer occurs, Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum provides safeguards including the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can read Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum and Turnstile privacy notice.

08

How long it stays

Contact enquiries and related correspondence are normally kept for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is reasonably needed for an ongoing matter, legal obligation or legal claim. Turnstile tokens are not stored by us after verification. The contact rate-limit record stops affecting access after one hour and stale records are routinely cleared after 24 hours. Random orbit claim IDs are periodically cleared once they are no longer needed to prevent duplicates.

09

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict its use, receive a portable copy, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You have the right to object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests. Email us to exercise a right; we may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant record.

10

Automated checks

Turnstile and our rate limit automatically decide whether a contact-form submission should be accepted. Their only effect is to allow, delay or reject that submission; they do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and they are not used to profile you for advertising. If a genuine message is blocked, email us directly.

11

Security

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls, bot verification, rate limiting and data minimisation. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we review the measures used as the site develops.

12

Questions and complaints

Please contact hello@disconnetic.com first so we can investigate a privacy concern. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at any time. The ICO’s current guidance and complaint route are available at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when the site, our services or our legal obligations change. Material changes will be shown here with a revised date. This notice covers the website; products may have separate notices, including the Field Kit privacy policy.
